How can we help? I am a loading Show Me. Top 0. The library has all you need. Great uni! View comparison. Overview Set in the heart of England, the University of Wolverhampton offers a high-quality education across a diverse study programme. Popular subjects. Pharmacy 7 courses. Find a course at this uni. University is very supportive and has a broad range of facilities students can use during their times here.
The university has the greatest facilities. The lecturers are knowledgeable. All the teaching buildings and libraries are distinct and splendid. Shocking, truly shocking, only interested in getting your money, zero support and treated appalling as a deaf student, if I could give minus stars as a rating I would.
The university is good and has all the resources you need as long as you apply yourself. I've really enjoyed learning here these last 3 years. Worst experience ever. I have been studying for my professional doctorate at the university for 4 years, I am a lecturer teaching and supporting students in nursing, have been an external examiner here. I could not recommend this uni. Lovely uni.
Walsall campus was small and just what I needed. Great gym and stuff, student union is great too. Terrible university, teachers marked people discriminating against non-English and working class students. Gave countless opportunities to students who skipped classes, but other students who missed one lesson got punished. One teacher clearly favoured lgbt students and let them off with everything, whilst another was openly sexist to Male students.
I had comments made about me in my exam feedback because I cant afford the same things as other students. Do Not attend if your not at least middle class.
Good university. You don't have much to in the city. But Birmingham is nearby. So you have plenty of things to enjoy. Great university , i love my course and the staff are really great. Staff doesn't care to teach, only read of PowerPoints. You get delayed email replies as staff always claims to be busy. City campus is constantly being improved and has good facilities. The teaching has been supportive and informative if a little impersonal.
The only complaint I would seriously have is with the universities own recommended city accommodation on Lomas Street, I have had a very poor experience especially when it comes to mental health.
If you commute or stay elsewhere then you are in for a good time. I LOVE the university of Wolverhampton - it is my safe haven and is so beautiful in every sense of the word.
I have had fantastic experiences in everything I have come across so far and I cannot thank everyone I have met enough. I was absolutely desperate how the teachers are discriminated against the students who are not from the UK. The rooms were freezing cold. They are a mixed students from years old in one group. The younger one does not respect the older one, does not want to study teachers are not give them attention to leave.
I would click them off. All uni just focus on the money nothing else. Shame on you. I just started my Bachelors course in Computer Science and I do love the the uni staff and environment very muchhh. Telford Campus is a disgrace. I have spoken out against situation that happened to me in halls.
Cleaners watching where you go and what you do. Security staff stand around doing nothing even had one cleaner say we don't do much anyway and laughed. Yeah to busy watching me. Mover guy tries to wake you up for fun early hours on Saturday morning. Move student to the worst building every in the summer, then gave NCS kids out our nice rooms, treating us like trash. Student union back up accommodation services no matter what.
Contracts for accommodation are written for the university and no rights for the student try clicking on links they don't work. Staff for accommodation services in general manager etc are harsh and nasty and unsympathetic. Want you money and could care less how you may be feeling. At breaking point and feel alone and isolated. Always going on about how full Telford Campus they just make it loo like its full spread us around. Not sure why? Wasting and conducting psychological research onto students Laura Pryor Level 7 student on behalf of the uni.
Placing cameras into student residences to conduct research. Took my money on the condition to return and failed to deliver leaving me out of pocket along with my time! They fail you on purpose and give their favourites higher grades, despite their assignments lacking any content.
I would urge people not to attend wolverhampton university! Ideal location in the centre of Wolverhampton with modern facilities. Constantly investing to improve student experience. This is one of the worst university to study in, if you are an ethnic minority and particularly an international student. I did my undergraduate and master degree in the UK, and found the quality of education top notch.
However, to my naivety, I unfortunately choose this university to undertake one of their professional doctorate's. As an ethnic minority and an international student, they wasted three years of my life, took away 28, pounds of me, made me slog to do free labour for the NHS, I worked on my research and the taught modules.
They did not give me the credit or recognition for the clinical hours to the NHS, did not gave me recognition for the research undertaken and did not fully credit for the credits I earned on the taught components which is violating my basic human right. To add to the insult and exploitation, they refused me to attend the graduation.
I have reported them to the human rights commission. I was an overseas MBA student and I can say that my overall experience is bad. The university team of UK is haughty influenced with the local team of overseas campus.
The grading system is not fair and they follow the bell curve technique despite the quality of work. The team at the SU are great. They assist where ever they can. The events held are great also, well wolves includes doggy destress days which everyone loves.
The uni campus its self is always clean, however food is not good value for money. I love this university as it's near to where l live and very great university.
Not a good experience! I started Wolverhampton uni in and left the following year. The course content was interesting, however a lot of the time the lecturers didn't show up! We often had a replacement tutor who didn't understand the topic and at one point we were left sitting at our desks for over an hour, as no tutor showed up at all! We were told that the course would take place at the city campus, however we discovered that in the second year some of the modules would take place at the Telford campus!
I chose the university because it was local and there was no way I would have the time to travel to Telford and then back again. I was not informed of this at interview! The facilities were ok and plenty of books in the library. That was probably the highlight of the experience! None of the people on the course were happy and although I didn't have any problems with them personally, other people on the course did! Some of the lecturers were ok but some snotty and condescending.
I am a final year student and a single parent. It wasn't clear to me that i have to do compulsory placement days of over days as part of my degree. I have never to date gain any sort of support from the university, I have to pay my transport to placement and on top of it pay childcare for my two kids, due to the nature of the course, I have to give up my job my biggest regret to date.
Even to get the university to confirm my enrolment to student becomes a big problem. I think the university of Wolverhampton is for young learners and not for matured learners or parents especially if you are a lone parent. Not liking the way grades are put up on evision, and not specified enough. The university is getting better.
Refurb and new sections are making it a great place to study. However having 40 societies, means that social activities are limited. However this is the students fault more than the university. They can't create societies if no one wants them. Eduroam is bad where ever you go.
Some staff members are fantastic but too many of them are unforgivingly awful at their job. It was poor mostly rundown faculty in the regards being how the law department had been run as I had prior knowledge to what they had already had in mind in teaching let alone I am only a 1st year law student in college!
This university is a disgrace. They do not care even a little bit about the students, it is full of lazy staff who are more interested in cutting corner rather than the quality of the students learning.
They are rude and very unhelpful. The university is also severely unorganised. Whatever you do, do not apply to this university. Aside from the university it self being abysmal, the accommodation is a complete shambles again run by staff that do nothing and lack the ability to take responsibility and actually do their job.
Might I add it is not expensive but not even worth the price they are charging, that says a lot. The people that run clubs once again rude. Not much room for growth or career progression all they've done is add stress and send unnecessary emails. Absolutely disgusted with this university the treatment of disabled students, they ridicule and lecture students without knowledge of the condition.
Horrible uni, they dont care about the students and teach irrelevant things. I only like one teacher and they are helping me move away from this place.
