Not that long ago gamers had a rather limited choice of keyboards, particularly mechanical ones, and most were too expensive for the masses. However, most recently there's been an explosion of gaming-oriented mechanical keyboards, many of which could be c CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid made a very good impression on me with certain exceptions, especially for those who don't require Numpads.
It keeps the costs down, especially on a mechanical keyboard, maintains a good form factor and its easier to store and tra With chiclet keyboards on the rise, thanks to Apple MacBooks and other laptops nowadays, the "old-school" mechanical keyboards have been slowly forced out of the general consumer scene.
Despite the fact that mechanical keyboards tend to be bulky, loud, Cooler Master is a company that branches out into multiple facets of the computing experience.
Their products include cases, power supplies, coolers, fans, and a peripheral line that includes keyboards and mice. In this article I will be reviewing the Coo I later got an official review sample with cherry blue key switches as well as the cherry black version was For years, Cooler Master has been a brand synonymous with enthusiast computer hardware.
Last year, we reviewed the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid which offered the tenkeyless formfactor for portability, but came at the expense of a missing tenkey pad, and although we liked how it could be stuffed into our backpacks effortlessly, we definitely miss High precision Cherry MX mechanical switches, Sturdy body rests very stable on the table, Compact size, Controllable illumination, Routing ducts for the cable.
We will try not to show you such Mobility is one of the current buzzwords. If a gamer wants to be part of a championship or an LAN party, the worst peripheral to transport is the keyboard, especially the mechanical ones, which are heavier.
With this player in mind, CM Storm releases t Cherry MX mechanical switches available in three variants , Great for gamers who desire a very compact, nofuzz keyboard, Supports NKRO, High build quality, Adjustable backlight, Windows key lock, Easy cable management.
Only good for gaming, the keyboard layout is a productivity killer, Somewhat noisy like most mechanical keyboards , Included manual does not explain all functions, DV Hardware awards the Cooler Master QuickFire TK keyboard with a 8. The QuickFire TK is basically a more condensed version of the QuickFire Pro, this new model ditches the arrow keys as well as other navigation and editing k Introducing a plethora of new accessories, it was only a matter of time before Cooler Master created their own line of Storm keyboards.
This certainly is not the first time Cooler Master has dipped into keyboards; indeed, their initial endeavours were gre Windows lock key keeps you from exiting a game accidentally, and remembers last state, Rubber feet keep keyboard in place, Compact size, even with a numerical key pad included, Backlighting with 3 modes and 5 brightness levels. Numerical key pad area takes some time to get used to, No software or macro keys, Please drop by the Bigbruin.
About a month ago I decided I needed a new keyboard for my desktop, with the primary reason being that the coating on the keys was starting to rub off. I definitely wanted a more rugged and longer lasting keyboard, so I looked into mechanical keyboards fo Overall Review: Really liking this keyboard.
Pros: -Well made construction -Well lite back light with option to change brightness -Nice small gives space on desk -Sexy sounding clicky cherry mx blues. Cons: -Had to RMA due to the "A" key not clicking or having a tactical feel -On the num pad the 2 key's LED was placed upside down witch made it so you cant see the led light illuminate it. Overall Review: If did not have to RMA the product due to the 2 errors then it would be a five star product.
I normally do not review a product after only 3 hours of use. But from what i have experienced. It is a vary nice, Small, Clicky and sexy product. It is worth you money provided that it has no errors with it. On a compact size keyboard Impeccable build quality. Cons: Arrow keys are within numpad. This might be detrimental to some I personally would have preferred a different font on the keycaps, but this is the CM Storm signature font for their keyboards.
I would not settle with any other keyboard. Because this is the only keyboard in the market that has the small form factor of the CM Storm Quickfire line as well as a numpad. I absolutely needed a numpad for daily use, but seeing as this keyboard was unavailable for so long, I was so close to settling with the newer Quickfire Rapid-I which is a tenkeyless keyboard with flashy lighting effects.
Thus, when I finally saw it available on Newegg two days ago, I was so excited. And my expectations when I received it were high. The Brown switches don't have a loud clack so they won't wake your roommate, girlfriend, or parents.
They feel awesome with the subtle feedback when hitting the actuation point. The Quickfire TK has amazing build quality in that it feels heavy and substantial. The keycaps are great, and the backlighting is fantastic. The levels range from just right to really bright, and I love the pulsing light mode that matches my Steelseries Sensei mouse LED.
I am sure the CM Storm line of mechanical keyboards all stick to this quality. If you are in the market for a mechanical keyboard go for a CM Storm keyboard. You won't be disappointed. If you are in the market for a compact size, numpad featuring, LED backlit keyboard - then the Quickfire TK is where it's at. There are multiple options when it comes to backlighting and switches, so check it out! Pros: Nice narrow keyboard - no more bumping into the numpad keys with the mouse.
Very nice looking blue led keys, several led modes, very durable feeling, nice braided detachable cord. It's also very thick, the top of the keys to the bottom of the keyboard is about 1 inch - not very comfortable using this on a flat table without a wrist rest of some sort. Overall Review: I ended up modding the keyboard by removing each key and placing an o-ring on the bottom, there are tutorials on Youtube of this and it's significantly nicer feeling to type on and sounds slightly quieter.
